Breathing & Sports

Breathing is more than just a subconicious function, the process of moving air into ones lungs bringing in oxygen and removing waste carbon dioxide. Maintaining good breath control impacts many a different aspects of life especially in sports; like running and yoga to free diving and swimming.

Breathing & Freediving

I would recommend going to Free diving for more information.

I would never suggest doing in water free diving techniques by your self, it is not safe to do so by yourself!

It is important to always follow the buddy system in diving, with or without a cylinder! If you want to practise breath technique in water it is imperative that you do not do so alone, it can be dangerous!

Breathing Exercises

These exercises are to help with expanding your lung capacity, the ability to withstand to bodily reaction to carbon dioxide build up as well as low levels of oxygen.

Once again it's worth saying I'm not a doctor, I do not recommend trying this if you have preexsisting medical conditions.
Definitely do not do this by yourself, or in the water alone. If you're interested in learning more I would suggest taking a course lead by a trained professional!

I'm a trained diver and only practise these techniques under supervision of other trained divers. I only practise these breathing tables at home, it's a good idea to do so lying down somewhere comfy as doing them can make you feel light headed!

"It’s funny how fish never seem to know what you’re talking aboat."
